Spa Riviera has positioned itself as one of the premier medical spas in Iloilo City for today’s top body treatments. With the launch of their new branch and offers, efficient treatment will be accessible and easier than ever.

Spa Riviera – ‘Tears for the years’

Wharton shared how the center started in 1999 when she was bustling to find work as a single mother. She opted for a spa, as it was a booming industry in Manila, and decided to bring the concept to life to here in Iloilo.

They do not have beds back then but foams and bean bags which clients can lie on the floor. Spa Riviera occupied the topmost floor of Jabez Building and would open the windows to let the air in, as they did not have air condition.

A writer friend of Wharton published an article about Spa Riviera on Philippine Daily Inquirer and caught the attention of a businessman who decided to invest in the company.

Top employees of the center shared their humble beginnings and what’s it’s like to work for Spa Riviera.

Rayleen Tilos, Director in Marketing, said it’s tough to promote a spa, especially when the concept is new to Ilonggos. Tilos started working in the spa as a therapist before leaving sometime in the 2000s. She went back home to Spa Riviera to lead their marketing activities.

Also present were Sheila May Sumagaysay, Director in Customer Service, who worked at the spa for 10 years; and, Ruby Guimaray, Director in Operations, who worked for 16 years.
