Pork Humba might be the perfect lunch or dinner recipe to satiate your craving for something special. This pork dish is distinct from adobo as humba involves simmering the pork with brown sugar, vinegar, and spices. The addition of star anise, bay leaves, and peppercorn provides a savory flavor to this sweet and sour dish, perfect for when you want something unique compared to the everyday Filipino adobo.
This adaptable dish is often served on special occasions but can also be enjoyed as a casual meal by altering the ingredients’ spicing. With a few minutes of prep time and minimal ingredients that most cooks have in their pantry, anyone can quickly whip up this savory dish.
