Seriously, it has been almost a year and a half since I last hit “publish” on my blog. Says my You Create Iloilo’s Content Planner, the last serious writing session scheduled was way back July 2023. Almost a year and a half later, I have tons of unpublished content. These days, I have some sort of renewed focus on my creative endeavors, blogging I mean.
Life, as we all know it, sometimes takes a sharp turn in directions, not necessarily counted on. Even though I have been writing articles every weekend, the hectic pace of life, particularly with my children’s book project, work, and thesis, has left little room for the meticulous editing and publishing process. My articles sit patiently in my drafts.
The good news is that I plan on posting soon. I will return to edit and finalize the articles. My goal is to bulk schedule them on WordPress in advance around 2-3 articles a week. Creating steady content will have my audience stay interested even when I am doing something else. It allows me to publish regular content, plan ahead, and safeguard my blog from lengthy silence.
I also think that it may be time to have someone to take over other duties, like posting old photos on social media and the articles on website, which will free me up to spend more of my time really writing rather than trying to have too much control over things website-related.
IF I HAVE MONEY.
Making someone take that burden from me will let me dedicate time and have energy in doing something beneficial. Such delegating action would help a lot more than adjustments would need time. It’s a great step toward leveling out my various creative pursuits, including my children’s book, which as I often say now has life of its own.
I just need to emphasize the importance of placing priority on our creativity outlets, especially as life goes on and becomes busier. Right now, my children’s book project is at the center of my focus, not to mention ~ work and the fact I want to graduate soon ~ and it’s very important to me. However, I still want to oversee my blog to make sure it reflects my voice and values. That will require tight management, but I’m ready to make it work.
I’m happy to reconnect with my readers.
TLDR: It’s been a little over a year and a half since my last blog post, yet I have written many articles in my draft folder. I will edit those pieces first and go ahead and schedule 2-3 posts per week on WordPress.
Thanks, you little creators of Iloilo.
