Our Kaldereta recipe requires simple ingredients like goat meat cubes, tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, bell peppers, and pineapple tidbits that add a wonderful taste.

Ingredients:

  • 2 lb. goat meat, cut into cubes
  • 2 potatoes, cubed
  • 2 carrots, cubed
  • 4 bell pepper, cubed
  • 1 cup whole button mushrooms
  • 1 cup pineapple tidbits
  • 2/3 cup of green peas
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 4 cups tomato sauce
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp pepper
  • 3 tbsp olive oil

Directions:

  1. Heat the oil in your large pan over medium heat and sauté the garlic and onions until fragrant.
  2. Add the goat meat cubes and brown for about 2 minutes. Pour the water, season with salt and pepper, and let it boil. Adjust the heat to low and simmer for 1 to 2 hours until the meat is tender.
  3. Whisk in the pineapple tidbits, carrots, potatoes, mushrooms, soy sauce, and tomato sauce. Simmer for another 20 minutes. Stir in the bell peppers and cheese. Serve.
