How to be Awesome on International Day of Awesomeness (and every day!)

International Day of Awesomeness. It serves as a reminder that we learn how to be awesome and never forget our potential for greatness!

We all want to strive for greatness, but what about how to be awesome? It can seem like an impossible feat or even a fantasy that you can never quite reach. But the truth is, being awesome isn’t complicated – it’s actually achievable and doable. Whether that means unlocking your hidden potential or building up confidence in yourself, here are just some small starting steps toward becoming truly awesome.

Follow your passions and do what you love every day

Nothing gives you a greater sense of accomplishment than doing something that you are passionate about. Put in the time and effort to pursue what makes you happy, and make sure to take the time to savor your successes along the way.

Be yourself – never try to be someone you’re not

Never try to be someone else, even if it means going against the grain. It can be easy to get caught up in trying to keep up with what everyone else is doing, but living authentically is important for finding your own voice and having self-respect.

Help others whenever you can, without expecting anything in return

Give back however you can, whether it be lending a helping hand or donating time or money towards causes that matter to you. Not only will this help those around you, but it also has its own rewards as well.

Smile and laugh often, even when things are tough

Life can be hard sometimes, but taking the time to appreciate what’s good can make all the difference. Laughter releases endorphins and helps us look at difficult situations in a more positive light while making us feel better at the same time.

Take time for yourself to relax and recharge

Don’t forget that you can’t be awesome without some regular downtime for relaxation, recovery, and rejuvenation. Make an effort to find activities that bring balance into your life like meditation to yoga classes. That way, you can stay energized and motivated throughout the day.

Appreciate the simple things in life

Develop an understanding of all of life’s little nuances by taking part in activities that stimulate your senses such as gardening or cooking a new recipe from scratch; these things often remind us of how beautiful life really is when we take the time to notice them more closely.

Be friendly and welcoming to everyone you meet

Put yourself out there with open arms and make an effort to be friendly and welcoming every chance you get. This will not only brighten someone else’s day but yours too.

Always be polite and respectful, no matter who you’re talking to or what the situation is

When talking with people, always remember that respect is key. How to be awesome is by respecting everyone’s beliefs and values. So make sure that yours are communicated in an appropriate manner no matter who they may be speaking with or what situation they might be faced with.

Be a good listener.

Pay attention to what people are saying and show interest. Don’t just hear words but learn how to truly listen by paying attention without interruption. This will enable us to have deeper conversations where both sides feel heard.

Stay positive, even when things aren’t going your way – think of the glass as being half full instead of half empty

Stay optimistic even when faced with adversity because it’s much easier (and more fun!) when we approach issues from a place of hope rather than despair.

History of the International Day of Awesomeness

International Day of Awesomeness is celebrated every March 10th, a tribute to the awesome spirit of all things inspiring and great. It was first suggested by Freddie Maneiro, an intern of Kevin Lawver, when he proposed an idea to celebrate Lawver’s awesomeness on August 6th, 2007. But Lawver thought it should go beyond himself and become a day recognized around the world: International Day of Awesomeness.

The celebration pays homage to the legend of Chuck Norris and The Show with Ze Frank in The League of Awesomeness. It also serves as a reminder for everyone to strive for greatness in their lives and share their awesomeness with others. Dan Lurie came up with the original tagline “Because everyone needs an excuse to be awesome” and Lawver’s daughter May created the newer phrase.

People all over the world honor this special day by taking part in activities that will bring out their own inner awesomeness, such as creating art projects or learning something new. Others may choose to do something daring or ambitious like participating in a triathlon or running a marathon. Whatever they decide to do, it’s a day of exciting experiences and moments worth cherishing.

It’s no surprise that so many people like celebrating International Day of Awesomeness. It serves as a reminder that we learn how to be awesome and never forget our potential for greatness. Always strive to reach our goals no matter how big or small they may be!
