The construction for the three-story P45-million Aksyon Tabang Emergency Operation Center has commenced on January 21, with a blessing and groundbreaking ceremony at ESLA in Barangay Lanot, Roxas City, led by Governor Antonio Del Rosario.

The construction for the three-story P45-million Aksyon Tabang Emergency Operation Center has commenced on January 21, with a blessing and groundbreaking ceremony at ESLA in Barangay Lanot, Roxas City, led by Governor Antonio Del Rosario.

Office of Civil Defense (OCD)-6 Regional Director Jose Roberto Nuñez joined the event and stated that the Aksyon Tabang Emergency Operation Center in Capiz is the first in Panay Island and in Western Visayas.

The project is expected to be completed in July 2020.

Nuñez commended Del Rosario for upholding the importance of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management programs in Capiz.

Del Rosario stated that the administration is holding programs and projects that will benefit the Capiceños, especially during disasters and emergencies.

Del Rosario and Pelaez are also joined by Assistant Division Commander Brig. Gen. Erick Vinoya of the Philippine Army’s 3rd Infantry Division, Western Visayas Coast Guard District Acting Commander Capt. Allan Victor Dela Vega and other local and national government officials.

A ceremonial turnover was also held by Del Rosario to Dela Vega of the P2.9-million high-end speedboat for the Philippine Coast Guard Station-Capiz. (JBG/PIA-CAPIZ)
