Chicken inasal is one of the most popular dishes in the Philippines, and it is easy to see why. The chicken is juicy and flavorful, and the smoky aroma of the barbecue is irresistible. However, what many people don’t realize is that chicken inasal is different in Iloilo.
The chicken is marinated in a mixture of ginger, garlic, and vinegar, giving it a unique flavor that is distinctly Ilonggo. In addition, the chicken is cooked over charcoal, giving it a smokier taste. As a result, chicken inasal from Iloilo is some of the most delicious in the country. In short – it’s sweeter. If you’re ever in the area, be sure to try it for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.
The result is juicy, flavorful chicken that is often served with rice and a dipping sauce.
